Properties:

  • Vegan, Biodegradable with Zero-petroleum content: Elevate is bio-based leather alternative composed of 95% bio-based plant content and 5% mineral content. The material contains less than 1% bio-based PU coating, which does not affect its overall biodegradability. USDA certification and Biodegrading third party report are available.

  • Non-food-grade inputs: The raw materials used are derived from non-food-grade grains, which are considered by-products of the agricultural industry, making Elevate a highly circular material solution, not competing with food supply.

  • Does not peel: Unlike many synthetic leather alternatives, Elevate is not a laminated material and therefore does not peel over time. Its structure consists of an 85–90% grain-protein-based core, forming a solid mono-material layer supported by a lightweight backing.

  • Natural pigments & zero harmful chemicals: The material is produced using natural pigments and without harmful chemicals. It is also available in four signature scents; the current production batch features an amber wood fragrance.

  • ISO durability standards: Elevate has been engineered to meet key ISO durability standards required by the fashion industry. Technical information is available.

  • Transparent supply chain: Manufactured in New York State, the material is fully traceable and supports transparent supply-chain disclosure and reporting.

Finishes and editions:

  • ELEVATE Luxe is a material delivering a soft, supple drape. The refined hand feel captures the quality of fine calf skin. Suitable for draped, soft designs with stretch. Laser engraving is possible. Embossing and stamping is not advisable. Thickness: 0.7-0.8 MM; Backing: 100% TENCEL™ LYOCELL interlock

  • ELEVATE Signature delivers the look and feel of high-end leather. Suitable for flat, structured designs without a lot of draping. Laser engraving is possible. Embossing and stamping is not advisable. Thickness:  0.9 – 1.1 MM; Backing: 100% GOTS certified organic cotton interlock
