Substanz for Artavazd Paris — From Sourcing to COO Partnership

What began as a sourcing project for emerging French luxury brand Artavazd Paris grew into a broader collaboration and an ongoing COO partnership with Substanz.

Our expertise spans the wider sourcing ecosystem — from fabrics, trims and ancillary textiles to strategic operational support including showroom research, contract negotiation, buyer database development and management, and buyer outreach and follow-up.

This work is supported by an established network of manufacturing and production partners, preferred supplier relationships, strong market knowledge and an in-house creative team of illustrators, graphic designers and image editors. Together, these resources allow us to respond quickly to complex, fast-moving projects and support brands across multiple stages of collection development.

From SS26 to an Ongoing Partnership

The Founder and Creative Director of Artavazd Paris approached Substanz to support the development of the brand’s debut SS26 collection. With demanding timelines for both production and lookbook delivery, the brand required a partner who could combine speed, sourcing expertise and flexibility.

Within just two months, Substanz sourced, negotiated and delivered a range of natural and lower-impact trims and ancillary textiles, with a particular focus on linings. The project required not only finding suitable materials, but also coordinating suppliers, negotiating terms and ensuring that everything arrived within the required production schedule.

What began as a focused sourcing assignment quickly developed into a broader sourcing and COO partnership for Artavazd Paris’s FW26 collection, and continues with the ongoing development of the brand’s SS27 collection.

The Artavazd Paris collaboration demonstrates how material sourcing, supplier management and operational support can help emerging fashion brands move efficiently from concept to collection. Substanz combines access to sustainable materials, biomaterials and specialised suppliers with product development, production and creative expertise, providing a flexible partner for brands navigating the increasingly complex landscape of modern fashion and environmental fashion.
