Substanz for peel sphere showroom

Our collaboration with the German–Chinese material innovation start-up Peel Sphere began in 2023.

In 2026, the founder of Peel Sphere approached Substanz with a commission to design and produce a series of five bags: three as exclusive Chinese New Year gifts for VIP clients, and two as distinctive exhibition pieces for use across showrooms and international trade presentations.

Inspired by a long-standing fascination with orchids, the Orchid Bucket Bag marks the final design in the series. It represents one of the most technically advanced constructions we have developed to date for Peel Sphere. The medium-sized bucket silhouette is crafted entirely from innovative materials — including structural elements — pushing the boundaries of both form and material application.

The Orchid bag made its first appearance during Change Now Fair 2026 in Grand Palais in Paris.

The project brings together a carefully curated palette of next-generation materials, combining technical performance with refined aesthetics.

• Lightweight green BCI cotton lining
