This project explores the possibilities of LOVR™, Revoltech’s proprietary hemp-based material, developed to be fully compostable and rooted in circular design principles.

Substanz was invited to design a line of three accessible, everyday accessories, created with longevity, tactility, and material integrity in mind. The collection to be commercially available through Revoltech — includes a cardholder, a laptop sleeve, and a glasses case.

The collection is expressed through two distinct design lines:

PURE
A clean, minimalist approach focused on function and material honesty. PURE pieces are crafted entirely from solid LOVR™, with restrained detailing that highlights the natural surface and structure of the material.

RACE
A more playful interpretation inspired by racing-car aesthetics. RACE combines perforated and solid LOVR™, introducing rhythm, lightness, and visual movement while maintaining durability and structure.

Both laptop sleeves are lined with a hemp–bamboo fleece, chosen to complement the hemp origins of LOVR™ while providing natural softness and protection. The glasses cases are reinforced to retain their shape, and the cardholders feature four functional pockets each, designed for everyday use.

All accessories are fully compostable, with the sole exception of the stitching threads, which are composed of a 50/50 cotton–polyester blend.

Each piece is hand-stitched, with hand-polished edges and no edge paint—allowing the material to age naturally and emphasizing craftsmanship over surface coatings.
