Substanz for Artavazd Paris — FW26 Tweed Print

As part of our ongoing collaboration with Artavazd Paris, Substanz was commissioned to develop a custom “tweed” textile print for the brand’s FW26 collection.

The textile development was created by Substanz’s in-house illustration team, translating the visual character of traditional tweed into an entirely new printed surface.

The concept reinterprets the richness and complexity of classic heavy tweed through a printed trompe-l’œil effect applied to lightweight natural fabrics. Rather than reproducing the physical weight and structure of woven tweed, the design creates the illusion of density while preserving the fabric’s natural fluidity, lightness and movement.

This contrast between visual weight and physical lightness allows the textile to evoke the structured elegance of traditional tailoring while remaining comfortable and fluid on the body.

The result is a refined interplay between illusion, texture and function, turning the textile surface into both a design element and a storytelling device. Developed specifically for the FW26 collection, the print was presented during Paris Fashion Week as part of Artavazd Paris’s seasonal showcase.
